About Us

n our philosophy we believe that everyone's perception of pain is unique and our philosophy is to treat each patient as an individual. We know and understand that patients in chronic pain often have an array of concerns included with the reason that they have come to our center. We believe in treating our patients as a whole person. We are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art pain management to our patients with safety, and well being as our number one priority.

We cover, both acute and chronic pain services within St. Barnabas Medical and Ambulatory Care Centers, as well as, Our Pain Center. The acute team deals mainly with inpatients at the Medical Center and are responsible for:

  • Providing patient comfort through pain management and control during the pre and post-operative periods. This is done with the use of nerve blocks, patient-controlled analgesia pain pumps, and epidural pain infusions.
  • Any inpatient at The Medical Center who requires pain management or control.

The chronic team sees patients in our outpatient practice who are in need of help with chronic pain secondary to an injury, disease, or illness.

A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for both teams.
